Treatment
-----------------------------------------------Gratitude House is able to restore hope to the lives of many women and children thanks to the support of our generous donors.
Day Services
Our Day Treatment Program operates in full-conjunction with the residential program, with the exception of housing. The day clients are on-site Monday-Friday from 9am until 2pm, for an average of 3-5 months. They participate with the residential clients for groups, lunch and all other activities. All clients at Gratitude House have individualized treatment plans, and at least once per week they will receive individual counseling with their therapist. Daily treatment services include groups, lectures, addiction and mental health education, peer socialization, conflict resolution, problem solving and life skills. Comprehensive support services, such as case management, pregnancy-related services, parenting classes, job and vocational training, GED completion and relapse prevention are also provided for each client.
One of the requirements for admission into the Day program is that the client has a safe and supportive place to live. Many participants in our day treatment have school-aged children at home and find that the hours of this program are optimal, allowing them to continue with their commitments to home, family and court. Day Treatment also helps clients stepping down from residential treatment programs to transition back into society in a gradual way that is suited to their individual needs.
