Gratitude House is able to restore hope to the lives of many women and children thanks to the support of our generous donors.
Upon successfully completing an episode of care at Gratitude House in any of our programs, clients are eligible to participate in Aftercare. The Aftercare Program consists of a weekly group therapy session that focuses on relapse prevention and developing peer support within the recovery community. This group meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. We provide a children's play therapy group that coincides with Aftercare to encourage attendance and alleviate obstacles for the clients continuing participation.
Individual sessions are available on a monthly basis to clients that want or need this extra support or accountability. In addition, Aftercare Counselors will provide continuous supportive services through regular home visits, telephone contact, family needs assessments and case management services. The last Thursday of every month is Anniversary Night, where the alumni of Gratitude House come back to celebrate their recovery and pick up yearly medallions. The evening features celebrants sharing their experience, strength and hope with current clients, family and friends.
