Executive Director

Linda Kane - Executive Director of Gratitude HouseMs. Linda J. Kane graduated with a B.S. degree in Fine Arts from Skidmore College in 1985. For 20 years, she worked as an owner and Director to establish, operate and market a Five-Star Luxury Golf Resort. With a strong background in financial development, budgetary compliance and employee management, along with extensive experience in program and services marketing, Ms. Kane takes a broad based approach to meeting Gratitude House’s current and future needs as a top-tier nonprofit treatment facility. Ms. Kane’s service to Gratitude House started as a philanthropic endeavor, to support her longstanding commitment to the recovery community. She has served on the Board of Directors at Gratitude House since 2008 and was appointed to the position of Executive Director in 2010. Under Linda Kane’s leadership, Gratitude House is focused on the future with clinically innovative treatment modalities being implemented, ongoing funding challenges being met and administrative leadership being provided at the highest professional level. Along with Gratitude House’s Clinical Director, Dr. Kaisha Thomas, Ms. Kane is passionate about providing a viable path to sustainable recovery for as many women in crisis as possible through the full complement of treatment programs available at Gratitude House.

Clinical Director

Kaisha Thomas - Clinical Director Gratitude HouseDr. Kaisha A. Thomas is dually licensed in the State of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and holds certification as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). She earned her undergraduate degree in Dance from the Juilliard School of Performing Arts, a Master of Science degree in Dance and Movement Therapy from Hunter College, another Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and her Ph.D., both from Nova Southeastern University, with a specialization in Health Care Systems and Medical Family Therapy. Dr. Thomas has over 20 years of experience in behavioral health and substance abuse and has extensive training in Trauma Informed care, Brief Solution-Focused systemic therapy, Client Directed Outcome Informed philosophies, Critical Incident Stress Management, organizational systems and program management. She is a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, a Florida State approved supervisor and meets State of Florida requirements to provide Hypnotherapy and treat sexual offenders. Dr. Thomas has co-authored and published a professional article on Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and is currently a member of the Child Abuse Death Review State committee.
